Face shapes for a round frame
Square and rectangular faces suit round sunglasses best, because the curve balances the straight jaw. Heart-shaped faces look good in a round frame with a thin rim. If your face is round, choose a round frame that is wider than it is tall, or one with a keyhole bridge, which adds a straight line at the centre. Oval faces can wear any size.
Wire or acetate
Thin metal round frames are the lightest and the most subtle, and suit a tailored look. Acetate rounds in tortoiseshell, crystal or black are heavier and make more of a statement. Pale green, grey and brown lenses are the everyday tints; a light-coloured lens in a wire frame is the current retro look.
